Banana smoothie bowl

Hello everyone!

Today I will show you how to make this phillicious banana smoothie bowl! Smoothie bowls in general are very healthy, as they contain only nourishing ingredients. The fruit gives you a good portion of vitamins already in the morning – so you don’t have to worry about your 5-a-day later during the day. The milk and nuts provide you with protein and healthy fats. This mixture of protein and healthy fats gives you a lot of energy (so perfect for the morning) and also keeps you full for longer. So to sum it up – smoothie bowls provide you with vitamins, give you a lot of energy and taste delicious! What else would you want from your breakfast?

Of course, the smoothie bowl consists not only of the smoothie itself, but also of the toppings! The toppings are easily adjustable to your taste – so feel free to put anything you like on them! For this smoothie bowl I chose three toppings: banana, which is full of vitamin C and E, flaxseeds, which stimulate the digestion, and oats with nuts, which are full of protein, minerals and healthy fats. This was my choice, but you can take other toppings. Raisins, hazelnuts, granola, etc. also taste very good with smoothies! When trying out several options, you’ll quickly find what you like most and what doesn’t fit your taste.

Instructions:

  1. Pour the milk, the cinnamon and the vanilla extract into a blender and blend for 30 seconds. Add the bananas and mix again. After these ingredients are nicely mixed, add the greek yoghurt and the oats and blend for around one to two minutes. If you like the smoothie to be thicker, stir more greek yoghurt into it. Pour the smoothie into a bowl.
  1. Chop the bananas and top the smoothie bowl with the flaxseeds, the oats with nuts and the banana. Finished!

If you like it sweeter, I’d recommend you to add 1 tsp of honey, because it is healthier than sugar and it also prevents you to already consume too much sugar in the morning.

This is all you need to do to get a healthy breakfast! It’s easy and fast, so you can also do it when you don’t have a lot of time in the morning. If you are in a real rush however, then pour the smoothie into a to-go cup, put some granola on it and eat it on the way to work or school. Like this, you still get a nutritious breakfast and don’t feed your body with something unhealthy, which you quickly bought on the way.

I hope you enjoy doing it and of course eating it!
