So first of all – Happy Easter! Today is already Monday and I hope you enjoyed your time with your loved ones. During Easter you tend to eat a lot, especially a lot of chocolate eggs. This sometimes is a lot to take for your body and not very healthy for the long term. Therefore, it’s important that you get back to your usual diet after the holidays. But I’m not saying that you should cut back over Easter – just the contrary! Enjoy the days with your family and friends!
In this blog post, I’ll show you a recipe here that gives you an Easter feeling, but is healthy at the same time! It’s a apple-carrot juice. This combination may sound weird to you at first, but I can guarantee you – it’s phillicious! It’s also very healthy; the carrots give you beta-carotene, which is good for your eyes, and the fibre pectin, which stimulates your gastrointestinal tract. Apples are full of potassium, iron and vitamin A, B1, B2, B6, E und C. If you drink this juice once a day, you are on the perfect way to a healthy lifestyle!
This juice is not only good during Easter; you can easily make it in the morning for a fresh start into the day or take it with you to work or school to get some vitamins during the day. Another good time is when you get home after a busy day and drink it to get a nice and healthy break.
For 1 big glass:
- 2 Apples
- 5 Carrots
- ½ teaspoon ginger
- Peel the carrots and wash the apples.
- Cut both of them into pieces and put them into your juicer.
- Add the ginger to your juice.
- Put one or two drops of oil into your juice.
What is very important when preparing this juice is to add oil, because otherwise the carotene of the carrot is not able to be taken on by your body.
